Predators cleaned up the little boys of Sparta and the Seniors roared all over the Hamilton Penguins. At the beginning of the season no one expected the Predators to get anywhere, especially after losing their first two games 30-0 and 16-0 over the Raiders. I remember that day well, I was asked by one of the palalagi parents if I wanted asparagus sandwiches with my Steak ‘n Cheese Pie.
The only thing that Prowler has with his pies is a bottle of coke and more pies! I know our young pasty boys were being laughed at by all the Island boys from South Auckland; but hey who is laughing now? The Predators are going to the Big Dance while the eliminated teams are running the chain crews.
According to the Hawks the Metro Seniors do not train, do not warm up, do not stretch and always turn up late for the games. Wow, it looks as though the Hawks have been spying on the Metro top secret sessions. This implies that the Hawks train, warm up, stretch and turn up early. What they don’t do is win games!!!
So the Prowler is happy!

14:20 - Referee and Umpire will visit the coaches in turn
14:40 - Each team to opposing 30-yard lines. The officials will line up across centre field once the teams are all in place.
14:45 - Team introductions as each player is called they walk to the 35yard line. They can wave, dance, do whatever as they make their way to the 35yard line.
14:50 - National Anthem. The teams should go to their sidelines straight afterwards.
14:55 - Coin Toss
15:00 – KICK OFF!!
